Burns has a television show debut in 1995 as she played Peg, a character in the Spanish American sitcom Out of the Blue. Burns joined the cast of the action-drama series Baywatch in 1998. She then starred in Baywatch's second rendition Baywatch: Hawaii until she quit the show due to a pregnancy she had just experienced.
